Matt Bardsley
Principal
I have been teaching seminary for almost 20 years. I am married to my best friend, Aubrey, and we have 2 amazing kids - Cohen and Eden. I love running, music, and anything creative. I have a passion for teaching, especially the gospel of Jesus Christ, and love being able to testify of Him and His gospel to youth and young adults every single day!

LeAnne Brennan
I was born in New Zealand and raised in Washington State. I have 7 siblings, have traveled to 47 countries while I was a tour director for 12 years, was a river guide for 5 years, an adventure guide in Sicily for 1 summer, a guide for the 2002 Winter Olympics VIP’s for 2 weeks, and served an 18-month mission in Hungary. I’ve taught seminary and institute for 12 years at Bingham, Corner Canyon, and Alta High Schools, and the Sandy Institute. I was also a field writer for the Curriculum Department of Seminaries and Institutes for 3 years. That’s a lot of numbers, but the most important number to me is 2011. That’s the year Jesus Christ changed my life, and the reason I teach seminary today. I love Him.
Caleb Callister
I’m Brother Callister.
I am madly in-love with my wife Eden, who I was married to in December of 2023. I enjoy singing, dancing (I ballroom danced my way through high school) and playing my accordion. I am currently pursuing a degree in business at SLCC. Most importantly, I love my Savior Jesus Christ. He is my friend and my strength.
Ashley Flake
I’m Sister Flake! I am from Minnesota. I moved to Utah to attend Utah State University (go Aggies!) in 2016. I graduated with a Physics teaching degree. I served my mission in Hawaii, with my primary assignment at the temple visitors center in Laie. I love traveling, camping, playing ice hockey, writing music, playing pickleball, and learning new things!
Will Hjorth
I’m Brother Hjorth! I love my wife Brianna, my son Calvin and my two daughters Gracie and Summer.
I play golf in the summer and I ski in the winter. I love reading books and watching movies all year round.
I recently finished my Master’s degree from BYU.
Jesse Manscill
Hello! I am Brother Manscill! I have been teaching in S&I for over 10 years. My wife’s name is Amanda and we have three kiddos: Emery (8), Oliver (6), and Hazel (3). I love all things soccer. I am a lawn snob and an aspiring pizzaiolo. I am on a quest to find the greatest Root Beer---please let me know your recommendations! My favorite candy bar is a Take 5 or anything with coconut!
Savannah Hess
Hello! I'm Sister Hess and I love being at Alta High School! I've been teaching seminary since 2019 and graduated from BYU with a degree in Family Studies (I spent a lot of time studying how teenage brains develop--they're so cool!). I have a great family with two parents, four sisters, four brothers in law, and 11 nieces and nephews, who I love to spoil and take with me on adventures! I love to travel and learn new things; I find joy in singing and performing in local theater, and I am a huge nerd for Jesus!!
