Credit
To receive credit toward seminary graduation, students must complete the following requirements:
Attendance
Students must attend at least 75% of class sessions
The school does not generally notify us if a student has been released from school for a parent-excused absence (dentist, family vacation, etc.) Please reach out to us to excuse these absences. If students fall below 75% attendance (including excused absences) they can do make up work.
Reading
Students must complete all of the assigned readings and progress toward their own personal study goal
Students will set a personal reading goal in class with their teacher.
Students can record their reading using the seminary and institute app or at myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org
Assessment
Students will work together to complete an assessment in class OR they can take it at home to complete
Assessments are opportunities for students to review and apply the lessons they have learned in seminary. Accommodations will be made to enable students with specific needs, disabilities, or health-related conditions.
On Time
Students must attend at least 75% of each class (cannot miss more than 20 minutes of class)
This policy is designed to help students develop a habit of punctuality and to minimize class disruption. Teachers will work with students and reach out to parents for excessive tardiness issues. Students will be given make up work options if needed.
